Ganjam Collector Dibyajyoti Parida has instructed the Health department to issue SOP for control of Covid infections in Ganjam as a new case has recently been detected in the district.
The District Headquarters Hospital, Community Health Centres and Sub-divisional hospitals were asked to keep Covid isolation ward ready for emergency cases. Hospitals were also instructed to recruit dedicated health workers for special treatment.
Recently, the district administration has increased RTPCR and Antigen tests in its centres. Instructions were also given to form RTPCR(Rapid Response Team) to identify suspected Covid cases followed by quick health checkup and treatment in district Community Health Centres and Berhampur Municipality Corporation areas. Orders were also issued to all district, block and area level officers to follow standard Covid control guidelines like wearing mask,use of sanitizer and maintenance of social distance in public places.
Asha Karmis, Anganwadi workers, ANMs were instructed to closely monitor any cases of community spread of Covid 19 in Ganjam district.
