The number of Covid-19 tests in Bhubaneswar has crossed the 1.5 lakh-mark as on September 8 with a total of 1,52,674 citizens of city having undergone tests. Out of them, 1,05,990 tests were done at Government facilities while 46,684 were conducted at private facilities.
“We are currently doing tests for 3,000 to 3,500 people daily. Given population size and area of city, we are doing a good number of testing,’’ said Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary on Wednesday.The rise in tests has become possible with opening of Rapid Antigen Test centres at 23 urban public healthcare facilities.
