Following the fire mishap at a Covid Hospital in Ahmadabad of Gujarat that claimed the lives of eight patients on Thursday, the Odisha Fire Services decided to review the fire safety measures at Covid Hospitals and Covid Care Centres in the State.
Fire Services DG Satyajit Mohanty directed the Assistant Fire Officers and Deputy Fire Officers to inspect the healthcare facilities under their respective jurisdictions and take stock of the safety measures and
deficiencies.
The officials would also advise the hospital authorities on taking proper fire safety measures.
