The State Government on Saturday announced a new set of unlock process for the month of August. While shops and other business establishments are allowed to open from 6 am to 8 pm across the State, the night curfew would continue, now from 8 pm to next day 6 am.

Announcing the new set of guidelines, Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena said the weekend shutdown was lifted from across the State except in cities of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri. But all essential services would remain open in the three cities.

Jena informed that restrictions would continue on all religious places, social and political gatherings, meetings and exhibitions. However, opening of malls, cinema halls, restaurants and dhabas and opera shows are allowed with 50% occupants and with reasonable restrictions. Besides, the Government also allowed parks, zoos and sea beaches for visitors.

Senior citizens of Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Puri have to produce certificates of both the doses of vaccination while entering malls, theatres, etc.

People now can use roadside eatery points. Both weekly and daily markets (Haats) are allowed to open. Both inter-State and intra-State bus services are allowed.

District Magistrates and Municipal Commissioners were asked to allow people to the places of worship seeing the local Covi-19 situation.
