The Sub-Divisional Magistrate Court, Puri on Monday issued non-bailable warrants (NBWs) against six absconding servitors accused of heckling District Collector Arvind Agrawal during the Niladri Bije rituals on July 17.
According to sources, the fugitive servitors had been given deadline to surrender before the police by Saturday last.
The accused, against whom NBWs were issued, are Damodar Mahasuara, Jayakrushna Mahasuara, Saina Khuntia, Bhimsen Palaknadhari, Ipsit Pratihari and Rabi Dash.
Earlier on Friday, the Singhadwar police had arrested two servitors, Surya Narayan Pratihari and Raghunath Khuntia, for allegedly misbehaving with the Collector.
Notably, Damodar Mahasuara, Jayakrushna Mahasuara and Harinarayan Khuntia have filed anticipatory bail pleas in the Orissa High Court on Friday.
It may be noted that some servitors had an altercation with the Collector during Niladri Bije when he protested climbing of Raths by servitors' daughters.
