In a nerve-shattering incident, a couple and a woman were found dead under mysterious conditions in the Bharatpur area on the city outskirts on Tuesday. According to reports, locals found the bodies of Kalia Sahu and his wife Sukanti Sahu, inside their house at lane-4 of the Bharatpur slum while the body of another woman, identified as Shanti Pati, was found from a house in front of the deceased couple’s house.
Being informed, a team of the Khandagiri police led by Twin City Commissioner of Police RP Sharma and Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi rushed to the spot and started investigating into the incident. Though the actual reason was yet to be ascertained, local sources suspected family dispute might be the reason behind the murder. Notably, one Snehaswakhyar Samal had allegedly killed Dr Atulya Chandra Meher, an Orthopaedic surgeon, his house care taker Prashant Behera and the latter’s son Munu on October 14 morning after entering into the doctor’s residence at Khandagiri Vihar, a vicinity area of Bharatpur.
