The State Corporation Employees’ Federation on Thursday urged the State Government to pay salaries to corporation, cooperative and UlB employees as per the 7th Pay Commission recommendations as they are equally involved in developmental works with regular employees.
“Implementation of Seventh Pay Commission recommendations for regular Government employees is a welcome step. But excluding employees of various corporations, UlBs and cooperatives from the list is unjustified,” argued federation president Natabar Acharya and secretary general Sarojkant Mallick.
The two wanted to know why the employees of all corporations, autonomous bodies, cooperative agencies, municipalities and NACs and contractual staffs would not be given equal salary for equal work when they equally participate in developmental works as regular employees do. They said federation representatives had also apprised the Fitment Committed about their various problems.
“Many corporation employees are still getting salaries as per the 4th Pay Commission recommendations and some have started getting 6th Pay salaries for the last three-four monts. Similarly, many employees have not got DA yet.
We demand that the Government sort out salary discrepancies and implement 7th Pay Commission for all employees” they demanded.
