A video featuring two girls, who have sustained injuries after allegedly being beaten by the Nayapalli police here, has gone viral on social media.
However, the Nayapalli police refuted the allegation saying a clash had taken place between two families over a property dispute and several persons were arrested in this connection. The girls were injured during the clash; and they attacked two women Sub-Inspectors of Police and injured the cops.
A case has been registered against the girls under Sections 341, 294, 323, 325 and 353 of IPC on the basis of a complaint filed by the two sub-inspectors.
“An investigation will be made into the matter. Action will be taken against those found guilty,” said Twin City Commissioner of Police YB Khurania.
