The Commissionerate Police has sent two teams outside the State to nab 10 hardcore criminals who were the associates of dreaded arrested criminal brothers, Sushant and Sushil Dhalsamnat.
So far, 19 associates of the gangster siblings were arrested.
Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora said during investigation and interrogation of the 19 arrested criminals it was revealed that several other associates have gone underground.
Of these absconding associates, there are 10 hardcore criminals, the DCP added. He said they have fled to neighbouring States.
“As they have been frequently changing their address we have planned a special strategy to catch them and have sent two teams for the purpose,” said the DCP.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Students Congress, led by Manoj Biswal, submitted a memorandum to Commissioner of Police YB Khurania in Bhubaneswar demanding investigation into the alleged link of Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) president and MlA Byomakesh Ray and general secretary Sambit Behera with the Dhalasamant brothers.
