Statements of the girl, who is denying love relationship with engineering student Asutosh Mohanty alias Rishi, and her mother were recorded under Section 161 CrPC, said sources.
The sources said that investigating officer of the case Tapan Pattnayak went to the house of the duo and recorded their statements. The girl and her mother while giving interviews to the media on Friday had denied any link with the alleged murder of Rishi and the sex video allegedly involving city Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena.
Opposition parties were demanding immediate grilling of the girl and her mother to unearth the truth in the sensitive cases.
