The Malkangiri police have launched a manhunt to nab Kudumulugumma block chairman Sibram Pangulu, who allegedly paid supari to hardcore Maoist Trinath Goloari to eliminate former panchyat samiti member Kamal lochan Anukam.
“Following Golari’s arrest, Pangulu has gone into hiding. On the basis of Golari’s confession, it is necessary for us to interrogate Pangulu, but he is absconding,” said a senior police official, adding that search is on to trace him. Meanwhile, Golari was produced in court.
Notably, the Malkangiri police on Sunday arrested Goloari (39) of Gajalmamudi village under the Chitrakonda police limits, who informed the police that Pangulu had given him Rs1 lakh.
He handed over the money to Maoist commander Madhab, and necessary information leading to Anukam's murder.
