After arresting comedian Tattwa Prakash Satpathy alias Papu Pompom and his aide Pradip Swain aka Gintu for allegedly sexually exploiting a minor girl and promoting casting couch practice in the Odia film industry, the Commissionerate police have started collecting evidences against the duo.
On Friday, the Mahila police seized a car of the actor. Police suspected that the duo molested the minor girl in this car.
Since the bail plea of the arrested duo would be heard in court on July 4, the police have redoubled their efforts to collect evidences to ensure that the two does not get bail.
Meanwhile, a visibly distraught Papu Pompom who had refused to take food on Thursday night at the Jharpada Special Jail took breakfast consisting of roti, curry and tea.
The actor and his aide were brought to the jail after being produced at the Khorda District and Sessions Judge Court late on Thursday night.
As soon as the actor was taken to the jail, the mandatory blanket and utensils were given to him like any other prisoner. Jail sources said no special treatment would be offered to him.
Sources said the suspended BJD leader was reading the Ramayana at the jail to spend his time.
