In a road mishap, Puri police Havildar AK Ajitulla and his wife Pijuana Begum were seriously injured at Nuahat Chhaka on the Satasankha-Balanga road on Monday night. Sources said a Tata Magic vehicle hit his motorbike from the rear at Nuahat Chhaka when they were returning from Puri to Nimapara by the motorcycle. The driver of the Tata Magic fled from the spot after the mishap. local people rescued the policeman and his wife, who were then rushed to the SCB Medical College Hospital, Cuttack.
