The Odisha Cooperative Employees’ Coordination Committee has threatened to resort to agitation if the State Government fails to resolve their seven-point charter of demands at the earliest.

It was decided at an executive body meeting of the committee held here on Sunday under the chairmanship of its president Ghanashayam Jena.

The committee has been demanding Government employee status to the staffs of cooperative societies and lAMP Samitis, setting up of a corpus fund and facility of promotion for at least 30 per cent posts. Jena alleged that despite their repeated requests to the concerned Ministers, nothing tangible has happened as yet.
