Vigilance sleuths on Friday raided the office and residences of the Secretary of the Boden Welfare Cooperative Society under Padampur sub-division in Bargarh district on the charge of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The raids were conducted simultaneously at six places associated with the cooperative society secretary Khageswar Behera.
Separate teams of the Vigilance police raided his two houses at Boden village, his office and two other houses at Padampur and in-laws’ house in Belpada block in the district.
The exact amount of disproportionate property possessed by the official would be ascertained after completion of the raids, said Bargarh Vigilance DSP Birendra Nayak.
