The Ganjam Zilla Bikash Manch celebrated its 19th annual day here on Monday under the chairmanship of its president Rajendra Panda.
Eminent educationist Dr PSN Patro, senior scribe Rabi Rath, Manch convenor Dr Siva Prasad Mishra and Akhaya Chaudhury spoke on the occasion.
Manch members demanded, among other things, up-gradation of the Rangeilunda airstrip to an airport, halting of passenger trains in the industrial area, introduction of Commissionarate police system in Brahmapur, expediting ring roads construction and flyovers at Gate Bazaar, Komapalli, Khallikote College Squares.
They also demanded that all vacant doctor posts in the MKCG Medical College Hospital be filled up to provide better services to patients.
