Contract doctors' body praises Govt

Members of the Ad Hoc and Contractual Doctors’ Association in a letter to Health and Family Welfare Minister Pratap Jena appreciated the decision of the State Government for providing added incentives to the students in non-clinical and para-clinical departments.

Association president Dr Kamal Mallick said that as there is an acute shortage of teachers in the primary academic departments of medical colleges, this proactive step of the Government would give added inspiration to the new MBBS graduates to pursue their carriers in the subjects like Anatomy, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine. He also said this would go a long way in solving the faculty crisis that now exists and was likely to be witnessed in future.
