The electricity distribution company Enzen Global came under wrath of consumers for harassing gullible electricity users for past three years. The consumers under the banner of the Jagatsinghpur Zilla Bidyut Upabhokta Kalyana Sangh staged a demonstration here on Sunday and demanded exclusion of the company from the job assigned to it.
Sangh activists took out a massive procession from the district headquarters here, visited several adjoining villages and educated electricity consumers as to how they are being exploited by the Bangalore-based company. They fumed against the Cesu for having assigned the jobs of distribution, bill collection and maintenance work to Enzen.
Sangha leader advocate Basudev alleged that the Cesu, the parent electricity supply body, has become callous towards consumers’ grievances. He blamed Enzen for using force to collect consumers’ old outstanding dues.
