Members of the Nagar Congress and Block Congress units of Pattamundai, led by DCC president and former Rajnagar MLA Anshuman Mohanty and former Aul MLA Debendra Sharma staged agitation in front of the Pattamundai Municipality office by locking its gates.
They protested against irregularities and large scale misappropriation of funds under several developmental projects.
The agitators demanded an inquiry into the irregularities and embezzling of funds, besides stern action against the venal officials.
The Congress activists later submitted a memorandum to ADM of Kendrapada Basant Rout for the CM. They threatened to gherao the district Collector ’s office in coming days.
