The Freethought Party India has taken a dig at the BJP for claiming to have a Congress-Mukta Bharat and urged statesmanship of highest order from the Narendra Modi Government. The BJP MlAs should not get associated with any group of MlAs that has defected from the ruling party of the day in any of the Opposition-ruled States or Union Territories, it said, citing the case of Arunachal Pradesh.
Hailing the historic judgment of the Supreme Court of July 13 last that nullified all that happened since December 15, 2015 in the State of Arunachal Pradesh, the FPI said the SC judgment resurrected the Nabam Tuki Government of the Congress. Besides, the judgment delivered by Justice JS Khehar and four other judges has clearly shrunk the powers of the Governor to a bare minimum.
