Veteran Congress leader and former OPCC general secretary Bibhuti Bhusan Mishra has resigned from the party.
He was a three-time MlA candidate from Athagarh Assembly seat but was defeated. As he had strong rapport with AICC members, he was settled in organisational post of the OPCC for a long time. But the present scenario in State Congress forced a certain group to be dissatisfied with his working. Ahead of the UlB elections, when Congress assigned former Chief Engineer Bichitrananda Muduli to distribute tickets in Athagarh NAC, Mishra was shocked and sent his resignation to the party president.
