Congress: Girl students' frisking a BJP atrocity

Published on:
The State Congress has alleged that frisking of girl students by invigilators during the Class XII examinations in Betul on Friday displays the increasing atrocities against the fair sex in Madhya Pradesh. MPCC spokesperson Vibha Patel in a statement alleged that the claims made of education and development of girls are hollow as the girls are facing atrocities across the State and are increasing day after day. The girls have to fight out their way at every level.
She stated that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan boasts of being maternal uncle and on other side, girls are facing such kind of terrible incidents, which is shameful and disgraceful for the State. Chouhan should instruct for action against the culprits to make the woman and girls of the State safe and secure, she added.  Patel claimed that the incident has revealed that the anti social elements are fearless and are protagonised by the Government due to which they do not fear of administration and law.
Fierce opposition was registered by State Congress and has demanded to register criminal case against the invigilators, teachers and officers present at the time of the examination which would set examples for other and stop repetition of such acts.
Along with the filing of criminal case against those culprits the Woman and Child Development Department should take cognisance of the matter and should recommend for strict action against those involved in the act and those who have not stopped the action while being present at the time of examination.
The State Congress have opposed the act and termed it as heinous. The incident attracted attention from all the corners after the girl students of Hardu village under Chicholi block of Betul district faced frisking during the board examinations of class X.
