Even as the Commissionerate police took ITER Placement Dean Rajkumar Hota on a two- day remand and grilled him about his role in the placement scam on Sunday, the Pradesh Congress Committee on the day demanded immediate action by the State Government on the fake job offer issue.
Congress leaders asked the State Government to ensure a secure future for the students who were duped due to the fake placement in the ITER of the SOA University.
Notably, the Students’ Congress had taken out a motorcycle rally and burnt effigies of the Chief Minister and the Minister of Technical Education demanding arrest of owner of ITER College and SOA University Manoj Ranjan Nayak.
Meanwhile, a number of former students of the institution have come into the open and accused the authorities of duping them in providing placements.
Now, demands are being that the institute’s authorities reveal the name of the consultancy agency which took the students on a ride in the name of providing them placements in blue chip companies.
