State Congress spokesperson Sarat Kumar Rout on Wednesday condemned the incident of egg hurling at BJD MP Baijayant Panda and demanded action against the miscreants.
Notably, some ruling party workers opposed to Panda hurled eggs and stones at him while he had gone to inaugurate an over-head water tank at village Jatiparilo under the Mahanga Assembly constituency in Cuttack district on Tuesday.
Stating that police had registered a case against Congress youth activists for hurling eggs at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s cavalcade, Rout demanded that the Mahanga cops should take similar action against those involved in the attack on Panda on the basis of video footages.
