The Congress on Monday launched its membership drive from the Congress Bhawan here and announced to take the campaign to the grassroots level to districts and panchayats. PCC president Niranjan Patnaik said enrolling members is an important part of a political party as it shows one’s ideological commitment to the party.
The campaign would continue for months across, he said. Party State in-charge Dr A Chella Kumar said both the Modi Government at the Centre and the Ptanaik Government at the State are hoodwinking people giving false promises.
