To intensify agitation against ‘anti-farmer’ and ‘anti-firming’ laws enacted by the BJP Government at the Centre, the State Congress on Sunday launched a unique ‘miss call’ programme to invite farmers to join demonstrations in coming days.

PCC spokesperson Sudarshan Das launched the programme at a Press conference here in the presence of former MLA Yoga Narayan Das and town Congress president Padmalochan Lenka.

Farmers  who want to join Congress-led demonstration have been requested to give miss call on phone no.7406343330. They would receive messages from the PCC regarding demonstrations. Besides, Das said a signature campaign is now underway since Gandhi Jayanti. It has been targeted to collect 10 lakh signatures by the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. To demand withdrawal of farm laws, a memorandum with signatures would be sent to the President, said Das.
