With the approval of the Nikhil Bharat Mahila Congress president Shobha Ojha, names of 26 organisational districts’ presidents of the Odisha Pradesh Mahila Congress were announced on Saturday.
Names of the presidents for seven other districts would be declared soon, Pradesh Mahila Congress president Sasmita Behera said.
In the new team, Sabita Dhir was appointed as the chief for Angul district, whereas Atashi Mohapatra for Baleswar. Renuka Patra was designated as president for Balangir, Sabita Chand for Bhadrak, Satyabhama Meher for Boudh and Anjali Mohanty for Khordha, etc. The Pradesh Mahila Congress asked the district presidents to form their district-level committees within 15 days. They decided to intensify their agitation against liquor and make efforts to stop various types of violation against children in coming days.
