The Congress Mahila Morcha as part of its nationwide protest on Mondayheld a demonstration at Master Canteen Square here against demonetisation and burnt an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The protestors led by Congress Mahila Morcha State unit president Sasmita Behera, beating thalis and spoons lashed out at the Union Government and said the Prime Minister had said after 50 days the situation would return to normal after the note ban but at the ground level nothing has changed.
The people are still facing difficulty in getting their money from banks and ATMs and have to stand in serpentine queues for hours for even small amounts.
They also demanded the Prime Minister to disclose how much black money the Government has unearthed after demonetisation.
