Reiterating his claim that the Congress will come to power in the 2014 general elections in the State, newly-appointed Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Jayadev Jena on Thursday said his prime focus is to strengthen the party organisations from the grassroots level.

Jena, who reached Bhubaneswar after meeting Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi, said, "During my meeting with the Congress top leaders, there was emphasis on the need of united efforts by grassroots and State-level workers and leaders in an endeavour to bring the party to power."

"I am confident that the party will form Government in the State. A meeting of senior party leaders will be held on May 19 at the Congress Bhawan to discuss the future course of action," PCC president Jayadev Jena informed.
