Cong to get vast majority in State, says Bhakta

In an informal get-together on Sunday, held by AICC spokesperson Bhakta Charan Das at the Congress Bhavan, he said the Congress would come to power with a thumping majority in the 2014 elections in Odisha.

Das said, “During the recent elections in Karnataka, Congress members from the grassroots level to the Central level leaders worked united, for which the party got the victory there and the same situation will also happen in our State.”

Das also pointed out that the BJP has lost its Governments in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka and has no space in south India now. It is due to the saffron party’s “deceitful” acts, he remarked.

While replying to a question on industrialisation in Odisha, the AICC spokesperson said the Congress is not opposing it as such, but the party is opposed to land allotment to companies which are not doing their businesses purposefully.

He alleged that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is providing protection to his Ministers who are involved in multiple scams.
