Cong to form Govts in Centre, Odisha: Moily

Published on:

Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas M Veerappa Moily on Saturday asserted that the Congress would form Governments at the Centre and in Odisha after the 2014 general elections.

“There is no substitute to the Congress. Neither the NDA nor others will ensure a stable Government, which the Congress can. In Odisha, Naveen Patnaik has lost his popularity, and I am sure that the Congress will come to power in Odisha as happened in Karnataka recently,” said Moily at the Congress Bhawan here after meeting senior party leaders.

Coming down heavily on Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP campaign committee chairman Narendra Modi, Moily said, “While Modi is not accepted by some his own party leaders and even by the party’s allies then how can he rule the country!”  Stating that rampant malnutrition is still a major concern in Gujarat, Moily blasted Modi for his development model.
