Despite the claims of the ruling BJD leaders that their supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik knows Odia very well, the State unit of the National Students’ Union of India members on Monday again tried to enter the Naveen Niwas to teach the CM the regional language.
However, as usual, they were whisked away by security personnel near the Chief Minister’s residence.
For the fourth consecutive day, holding slates, chalks and Chhabila Madhu Barnabodha, five Student Congress activists led by their president Itish Pradhan reached near the Naveen Niwas. They appealed to the security personnel to allow them to go to the Chief Minister. However, they were detained by the cops.
“Though police take us away, we will not relent. We will compel the Chief Minister learn Odia,” said Pradhan before being driven away by the police.
