Published on:

The Congress on Wednesday decided to organise a State-wide agitation on June 10 to highlight the bad governance and undemocratic behaviour of the Government both in and outside the Assembly.

State Congress president Prasad Harichandan told reporters here that demonstrations would be held in all blocks to reach out the people highlighting the autocratic attitude of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and the ruling BJD against the opposition parties in the recently-concluded Assembly session.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the party;s district presidents held under the chairmanship of Harichandan on Wednesday. The party would target the Government over issues like Jagamohan repair, water scarcity, chit fund scam and premature closure of the Budget Session of the Assembly.
