Hundreds of Congress activists under leadership of AICC secretary Anil Kumar Chaudhary, PCC working president Pradeep Majhi and Ganjam district president Dr Trinath Behera on Tuesday held a demonstration at the RDC (Southern Division) office here in protest against various irregularities committed by the Central and State Governments.
They severely criticised the Narendra Modi Government for the alleged funds irregularities committed in buying of Rafale aircrafts.
Raising accusing fingers at the BJD Government, Congress activists lamented that Ganjam, the home district of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, has been greatly neglected. They slammed the Government for the alleged Omfed and mines scams and incidents of farmer suicides.
In the end, they submitted a memorandum, addressing the President, to the RDC (SD). Among others, Congress district working president Deepak Patnaik, Pitabas Panda, Bijay Sahu, Nagar president Pramod Jena, Parshuram Sahu, Swarup Tripathy and Minati Mishra were present.
