Decks are cleared for the BJD to form councils in the Udala and Koraput NACs as independent councillors have joined the ruling party. After the urban local body polls, the fate of the Koraput NAC had remained undecided as the BJD and the Congress won 10 seats each with one seat going to an Independent. Five Independent councillors of the Udala NAC joined the BJD on Friday in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence here.
