Protesting a rise in child missing cases in the State and the attitude of the State Government in probing the kidnap and murder of 5- year -old Pari in Nayagarh, the Congress here staged a demonstration in front of the Superintendent of Police office on Wednesday.
District Congress president Natabar Barik led the agitation by hundreds of party supporters who converged at the demonstration site expressing strong displeasure against the way the SIT was investigating the Pari murder case. The Congress leaders raised slogans against Minister Arun Sahoo and SIT head Arun Bothra.
Later the Congress leaders submitted a memorandum to the SP Jagatsinghpur addressed to the State Governor urging an impartial investigation in the case.
