The district Congress has provided five ambulances for the Covid patients free of cost.These ambulances would be ferrying Covid patients to different destinations including hospitals, Covid care centres and further to Cuttack and Bhubaneswar in required cases, said Baleswar district Congress president Sanjiv Giri.
He stated that the service has been initiated with assistance of Navajyoti Pattnaik , the MP candidate of the party in 2019. The well-equipped ambulances would be positioned one each at Bhograi, Jaleswar and Basta and one each at the district headquarters and Soro for the Simulia, Khaira and Oupada block patients.
The party also released the names and phone numbers of all the block coordinators and the district coordinator for providing hassle free service to the patients.
This service was launched in Baleswar on Wednesday with five ambulances having oxygen and other lifesaving facilities. In future, more ambulances could be added to the fleet, informed Giri.
