The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) on Wednesday observed the 70th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi here at Congress Bhawan.
Many senior leaders including PCC president Jayadev Jena, Chiranjib Biswal, Kaliash Achrya, Suresh Kumar Routray garlanded the statue of the former the Prime Minister at Rajiv Bhawan and Congress Bhawan here and remembered his achievements.
“Rajiv Gandhi had a dream to make India a unique country in the world. He had given the electoral rights at to the youth mass of the nation at the age of 18, fought against corruption and acted to improve education, employment and promotion for Dalit and Tribal people of India,” said PCC president Jayadev Jena. Fruits were distributed to the patients at the Capital Hospital to mark the occasion also.
