The Congress declared names of eight candidates for Zilla Parishad seats in six blocks of Subarnapur district here on Friday.
Former district Congress president Ashok Pujari, PCC coordinator Somrendra Mishra, former MlA Achyutananda Biswal, some block presidents and a Balangir district leader held a meeting at Panth Nivas and finalised the names.
Meanwhile, Congress workers expressed resentments as the tickets were distributed in the absence of DCC president Shankar Das and senior leaders like former MlA Binod Patra, PCC member Jitendra Pattnayak and former district youth president Gouri Shankar Mohapatra. With this, a feud in district Congress has come to the fore.
