The delegation of 16 Congress MlAs, which is in New Delhi now, would meet AICC president Sonia Gandhi in a day or two, sources said.
The delegation headed by leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Narasingha Mishra had met President Pranab Mukherjee on October 13 and sought his intervention to resolve the Mahanadi water dispute between Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
On Saturday, the team met AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi and apprised him about the state of affairs of the Pradesh Congress Committee, besides discussing the Mahanadi issue, the sources said.
Though the delegation has sought an appointment from the party president to apprise her of the matters, the date is yet to be confirmed, the sources added.
