The Congress launched a blistering attack on the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre and the Naveen Patnaik regime in the State over their celebrations marking two years in office, asking what is there to celebrate when the country and the State are facing numerous problems.
As part of a nationwide campaign against the Modi Government’s failures, All India Mahila Congress President Sobha Oja along with Pradesh Congress Committee president Prasad Harichandan came out with a booklet Sachchaai Ka Aaina (Mirror of Reality) highlighting the failure of the Modi Government. Oja said the two years of the NDA dispensation was a “Bukwash.”
“There is no vikash. A wide range of issues including economy, employment, price rise and foreign policy are still to be addressed. Hence, we term the two years of the Modi Government as Bukwash,” said Oja. She charged that Modi is spending `20 lakh per day for publicity in the form of advertisements.
She also charged that both the BJP and the Congress are the two sides of a coin.
Hitting out at the BJD Government and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, PCC president Harichandan said Patnaik too is spending `10 lakh daily on Propaganda for his Government while there are many issues which need to be addressed at the earliest.
