After holding padayatra in many other parts of the State, the Pradesh Congress Committee on Monday organsied its third phase Jagaran Yatra in Sanakhemundi in Ganjam district in the southern region.
PCC president Prasad Harichandan, party’s State in-charge BK Hariprasad and his deputy secretary Shubhankar Sarkar, former Union Minister Chandrasekhar Sahu and Ramesh Chandra Jena along with a large number of local party workers and farmers held the padayatra from Adapada in Sanakhemundi block to Patpur, where the leaders addressed a gathering.
“We will continue with our effort to make people aware about the State Government’s incapability in mitigating the drought and farmer suicide cases,” said Harichandan.
