The Cuttack Nagar unit of the Congress on Sunday called a Cuttack city bandh on August 12 to press for fulfilment of 12 demands relating to the problems of the denizens.
“While more and more people are suffering from dengue, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has not yet taken any measure to check spread of the disease. Similarly, BJD leaders and workers, who have grabbed the NFSA cards by fraudulent means, are yet to return the same. Poor people have not been given NFSA cards. Though we have been demanding measures to resolve all these problems, the CMC has not responded yet,” said a party leader.
