Cong alleges huge scam in Govt job process

The Congress on Thursday alleged that despite the BJD Government’s tall claims of clean and corruption-free administration, the reality is something different as corruption is rampant in the State.

Party leaders former MLA  Debashis Patnaik, spokesperson Manoranjan Das, NSUI State president Yashir Nawaj told reporters that there are many instances of omission and commission in State Government job recruitments. The Vigilance raids and the possession of illegal properties from a PS of an Odisha Staff Selection Commission Member are only a tip of the iceberg. The irregularities are going on since last 20 years; virtually Government jobs are on sale. There must be a huge chain of corruption from the PS to the highest level. Interestingly, an advertisement for Government jobs was published in 2012, but examination was conducted in 2015 and results were out on 2018. What was going on in between six years, questioned the party leaders. They demanded that the Government make public the details about the jobs, selection process, appointments of last 20 years.
