A delegation of the Badachana Congress on Friday met the Crime Branch Special Task Force (STF) DIG and alleged of a nexus between Jajpur district Badachana BJD MlA Amar Prasad Satpathy and notorious gangster Tito.
The delegation led by Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) general secretary Subhendu Mohanty alleged that Tito was carrying out illegal mining and smuggling of minor minerals in several mining areas of Jajpur district.
Mohanty alleged that the illegal activities were being carried out by the gangster under the patronage of Badchana MlA Satpathy.
But due to patronage of the MlA, the officials were turning a blind eye to the violations.
The delegation demanded a probe by the STF to unearth the nexus between the MlA and the gangster.
later, the delegation submitted a memorandum in this connection.
In his reaction, Satpathy said the STF is already investigating into the issue. Some people are happy only in levelling allegations, but ultimately the truth would prevail.
