State Congress leaders would go to every village from January 26, the Republic Day, for the party’s ‘Hath Se Hath Jodo’ programme, which is part of the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi.
The Congress flag would be unfurled in every village and the party leaders would go door to door, interact with people and inform them about the State’s current situation, know about their problems and also inform about the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
This was decided at a meeting at the Congress Bhawan here on Saturday.
The party would raise issues like rising inflation, rise in price of essential commodities, unemployment and division created by a particular party on the basis of caste, religion and language.
Rajya Sabha member and former Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Tarik Hamid Karar said discipline won’t be tolerated in the party at any cost. The success of the Bharat Jodo Yatra has sprung many surprises and lakhs of people have been involved in it.
PCC president Sarat Patnaik presided over the meeting.
