A special Vigilance Court Bhubaneswar passed final order for confiscating the assets of Rs 4, 36,095 of former General Manager of Ipicol Jogendra Charan Nayak.
The assets comprised of one double storied building at Plot No 233-B, Bayababa Matha Road, a land measuring 0.278 decimal at Plot No 251 under Khata No 314 (459/49) at Koradakanta mouza, maturity NSC deposits of Rs 38,036 etc found during house search of Nayak.
It relates to Cuttack Vigilance case registered against Nayak on allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. On July 9 and 10 in 1997, the residential building and other places of Nayak were searched by the officials of Vigilance Cell, Cuttack. The court had earlier convicted Nayak in the case in 2014.
