The BJP Bhubaneswar district committee on Wednesday alleged that the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has utterly failed to combat the raging dengue incidence in the city like Covid-19. While dengue has gone out of control, it has proved to be a new threat for city dwellers after the severe impact of Covid.
A delegation of party leaders on Wednesday met BMC Commissioner Sanjay Singh regarding the situation of different areas. The party leaders said the BMC has not taken any concrete steps to control the menace. Drains are not still cleaned or sanitized. The BMC has failed to provide proper health facilities and to identify the dengue hotspots.
The BJP has stated that at least 391 cases have been identified so far with daily addition of 30-40 cases.
