'Complete road, water project in Ganjam block'

Published on:

BJP workers have expressed serious concern over the miserable plight of Raghunathpur residents under Ganjam block and the apathy of the State Government in meeting their basic needs at a meeting held here recently.

The residents of ODRP Colony located on the hilltop of Raghunathpur village are facing serious problem due to non-supply of drinking water as the drinking water project meant for them has deliberately been left in a haphazard state.

The approach road to the colony is in a very bad state, and repeated demand of the public for its timely completions remains unheeded, said former Ganjam block Chairman Surath Pahan.

Notably, the colony residents who are Phailin victims are compelled by the administration to occupy the houses or else lose allotments at such a critical juncture when both the road and the water supply project are left incomplete, Pahan pointed out.

He also alleged that the RWSS authorities are callous, resulting in the present plight.

Pahan requested the OSDMA authorities to review the situation and take steps to provide relief to the colony residents.
