Career as a Company Secretary is not only prestigious and financially rewarding but also carries with it a high degree of job satisfaction, said DAV Public School of Unit-VIII Principal Dr Bhagyabati Nayak, attending a programme on ‘Career as a Company Secretary’ conducted by ICSI-Bhubaneswar chapter here on Tuesday.
Almost every kind of organisation whose affairs are conducted by boards, councils or other association, federation, authority, commission or like, finds it useful to appoint a person who holds the qualification of Company Secretary in key administrative positions, she said.
Bhubaneswar Chapter of the ICSI chairman Arabinda Acharya said the Companies Act, 2013 would open wide opportunities for Company Secretaries both in employment and in practice. He said that campus interviews are organised by the institute wherein various companies participate and select suitable Company Secretaries on attractive salaries. Banks and public and private sector enterprises also participate in campus interviews. DAV Public School coordinator Mamata Banarjee and secretary CS Debadatta Mohapatra and ICSI-Bhubaneswar treasurer P Nayak were also present.
